NPD Technologist (Trainee)

The Role
Due to continued growth, we are looking to expand our New Product Development team and so are looking for someone who is passionate about food to join us as an NPD Technologist.
- In general, to assist the NPD Manager to take a product from Concept to launch and any other existing product development
- Samples preparation for customers and own brand NPD/EPD development work, considering feasibility in operation capability, allergen status, vegan/vegetarian claim, costing and to hit target OSD. Keeping very detailed records for recipes making
- Carry out in house organoleptic testing and sending samples for external testing for shelf life records
- Carry out kitchen trials and attend factory trial and first production to take samples and to compete relevant forms
- Assist NPD Manager to create QAS sheets and draft specifications.
- Keep up to date with food and ingredients trend
The right candidate should have basic culinary skills and great attention to detail. Willing to learn and be IT Literate, in particular competency with Excel, Word and Outlook.
